Cindy McCainNew York, Sept 6: Presidential candidate John McCain's wife Cindy was seen wearing an ensemble that could have cost her 300,000 dollars at the Republican National Convention.

The estimate, made by Vanity Fair, revealed that McCain's 3-carat diamond earrings alone could cost 280,000 dollars, with her Oscar de la Renta dress costing about 3000 dollars.

The beer heiress also had on a 4500 dollars Chanel watch, a four-strand pearl necklace worth between 11,000 dollars and
25,000 dollars and a 600 dollars pair of designer shoes.

Sindh Assembly member arrives on stretcher to cast her vote in Pak Prez poll

Karachi, Sept 6: A senior PPP member of the Sindh Provincial Assembly Ruqqaya Soomro reached the Assembly on stretcher to cast her vote in the ongoing presidential poll today.

According to The News, Soomro, a former Member of National Assembly (MNA) and now a sitting member of the Sindh Assembly, was the first lawmaker to come to the Assembly lying on a stretcher to cast her vote and set an example for others, despite her severe illness.

Meanwhile, voting is continuing in the National Assembly in Islamabad and all the four Provincial Assemblies, namely Punjab, Sindh, NWFP and Balochistan, to elect the next president of the country.

Polling began at 1010 am and would continue till 3:00 pm without break.
