Prachanda assures Indian investors of conducive business atmosphereBangalore, Sept 17 : Nepal''s Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal "Prachanda" on Wednesday invited Indian investors to invest in Nepal and promised them a conducive business atmosphere in his country.

The Nepalese Maoist leader who is on a five day goodwill visit to India attended a luncheon meet organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in Bangalore on Wednesday.

Assuring a very suitable investment climate in his country, Prachanda appealed to Indian business community to come forward in a big way to enhance economic ties between the two countries.

“It is a matter of satisfaction to note that there is a strong bond of economic relationship between India and Nepal. The government of Nepal is ready to play a catalyst role in creating a conducive business environment suitable to business and investment in Nepal including in IT sector. I appeal to the business community to take a leap in strengthening and enhancing our bilateral and economic relations with a broader vision. I emphasize that this relationship should be nurtured together to make it sustainable, endurable and forward-looking and enduring. Now the peace process is progressing and we assure you that you will find a very suitable investment climate in Nepal,” said Prachanda, who is on his first visit to India as the Prime Minister.

The bilateral trade between India and Nepal now exceeds 2.3 billion dollar, but Nepal says more business opportunities are there to be explored in the Himalayan nation.

Prachanda arrived in New Delhi on Sunday and is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including several ministers and business representatives. (ANI)
