It has been informed by Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) that the domestic automobile sales have gone up, in the month of August as well.

SIAM has said that the sales figure is continuing to break previous records and have touched new levels. The total vehicle sole during the month has been huge as compared to its preceding months. It was recorded 12,63,293 units. This figure was the maximum in terms of vehicles sold in any month.

The August benchmark has beaten the mark set in its previous month i.e. July. The total sales was recorded at 12,37,461 units in the month of July in this year. Hence, there has been a growth of 25.24 per cent in August against the same month last year.

Meanwhile, such result has excited the industry very much and they are even expecting a better performance in the coming months.

The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers has also said that the auto sales figure in the domestic market may even exceed the earlier forecast made by the firm.
