Red Dead Redemption, a game platform from the RockStar studios has reportedly been struck by a malware.

The game has an interesting set that keeps the gamers busy throughout the act, amidst the gameplay which basically involves gamers to take part in a treasure hunt and collect gold bars, when one feeds a cheat code or the clue posted online for "Red Dead Treasure Map" it leads to a site that is infected with scareware or FakeAV, aka a malware of a kind.

This Scareware glues to the net page and when the user clicks on the link, all of sudden they are told that their computer is infected, thus scaring the user.

However the users need not worry as this can be cured by downloading special software, which of course will cost a good amount.
