Congress won’t have any problem if Afzal Guru is hanged: Digvijay SinghBhopal, Apr 24: Congress General Secretary and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh on Friday said his party would not have any problem if Afzal Guru, who has been sentenced to death for his involvement in the 2001 Parliament attack case, was hanged.

“The Congress would not defend Afzal Guru or any other terrorist. The Congress would not have any problem if the punishment given to any terrorist was carried out,” Singh said.

“The top most office bearers in BJP cannot take even a small decision on their own and need permission from an organisation to chalk out the course of action,” Sonia Gandhi said at an election rally here.

Gandhi further said that Congress runs on its wishes and does not seek permission from any organisation.

Sushma Swaraj says NDA will win majorityBhopal, Apr 20: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sushma Swaraj on Monday said that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would cross the magic figure of 272 in the general elections.

“Not only would the NDA get a majority on its own, the BJP would also emerge as the single largest party,” Swaraj said at a press conference here.

When asked to specify the number of seats that the BJP was likely to win, Swaraj said that her party would win anything between 180 to
200 seats on its own.

During her visit, Sonia Gandhi will address election meetings at Allahabad, Faizabad and Lucknow.

Rahul is scheduled to address a public meeting in Madhya Pradesh's Panna district, which will go to poll on April 23. .

Panna district comes under Khajuraho Lok Sabha seat.
