Chennai-based non-voice BPO service provider, Vishal Information Technologies Vishal Information Debuts At 13% Discount On NSEgot listed on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) at a discount of 13.33% at Rs 130 as against its issue price of Rs 150.

The scrip gained strength and touched an intra-day high of Rs 184. It also touched an intra-day low of Rs 125.60 thus far. The scrip was trading around Rs 177 and more than 10.81 lakh shares exchanged hands on the NSE.

Similar movement was seen on the Bombay Stock Exchange, where the scrip of the company got listed at Rs 150.

In order to cut costs of healthcare equipment and research for new vaccines in Govt Plans Medical Tech Park In ChennaiChennai, government of India has decided to set up a medical technology park in the city.

The proposed park, which is being constructed on 300 acres of land, will be equipped with medical device manufacturing units, healthcare infrastructure and vaccine technology facilities.

The park is scheduled to be completed by 2012.

Tamil rebels declare unilateral ceasefire during SAARC talksChennai, July 24 : The Q Branch of the Tamil Nadu police busted a major Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) procurement network when it arrested three persons, including a Sri Lankan from Manalmelkudi in Pudukottai district of Tamil Nadu.

The three arrested persons were Kumargurubaran (28) a resident of Chennai, Ramesh (37) hailing from Ramanathapuram, and Manamohan (28) from Pesalai, Sri Lanka.

According to the police, Manamohan was the key player in this procurement network, coordinating the operation.
