New Delhi, Nov. 12 : Egyptian President Mohamed Hosny Mubarak will Visit India from November 16 to 19.

Mubarak will be visiting this country after 25 years. He last came here in 1983 on a state visit.

The focus of Mubarak’s visit will be on intensifying strategic and economic cooperation between India and Egypt, old friends and founders of non-aligned movement and South-South cooperation.

Cairo - A previously unknown pyramid estimated to be 4,300 years old was discovered in Egypt's desert, Egypt's Secretary General of Antiques Zahi Hawass said on Tuesday.

The pyramid, five metres high with a square base of 22 metres on each side, is believed to belong to Queen Seshseshet, mother of King Teti, the first king of ancient Egypt's Sixth Dynasty, Hawass said.

Teti came to power in 2323 BC.

The pyramid is the 118th discovered in Egypt and originally was 14 metres tall, Hawass said at a press conference.

Dubai, 11th Nov.

Cairo  - Groups of Bedouins protested Monday in Egypt's Sinai peninsula, blocking a main road, after Egyptian security forces opened fire, killing one man and wounding another, security sources said.

Police shot the two men when they refused to stop their car at a security check point, sources told the Deutsche Presse-Agentur, dpa. Bedouins often accuse Egyptian police of discriminating against them, including arresting Bedouins without charge.
