Munich - The symptoms of a heart attack in women are usually different to those in men.
Among men, the typical indicators of a myocardial infarction are chest pains that radiate to an arm, claustrophobia, anxiety and dizziness.
Women are more likely to complain of pressure in the upper abdomen, sweat attacks, nausea, vomiting, shortness of breath, back pain or pain between the shoulder blades, in the jaw bone or facial area.
Berlin - Typical indicators for sea sickness are a dry mouth, cold sweat, dizziness and nausea, sometimes followed by vomiting.
Medically speaking sea sickness is a variation of motion sickness or kinetosis. Though it does not always end up with the affected person "feeding the fishes", it can however ruin a boat trip. But, with the right medicine and a few useful tips, it can be kept under control.
Berlin - A motor cyclist involved in an accident, who falls unconscious, should have their helmet removed as soon as possible to avoid suffocation, according to Germany's Red Cross in Berlin.
To prevent a possible neck injury from worsening, you should carefully slide the helmet off to the point where you can support the victim's head with your hand.
Hamburg - The way to a lady's heart is through her stomach - if you're a male chimpanzee seeking a mate. But you have to be patient and feed her lots of meat over a long period of time, according to new findings by German scientists.
Wild female chimpanzees copulate more frequently with males who share meat with them over long periods of time, according to a study led by German researchers from the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Munich.
Halle, Germany - As 12 European cities marked "Handel Special Day" with concerts of the Anglo-German composer's music, orchestras played funeral music Sunday in his hometown, the eastern German city of Halle.
"The concert in our Market Church was a sell-out," said Bianca Berger, spokeswoman for the Handel birthplace trust in Halle.
Handel (1685-1759) was born in Germany and baptized in the church. He later became a British citizen. The concerts were organized to mark the 250th anniversary last Tuesday of his death in London.
