Patna, Apr 10: Bharatiya Janata Party''s prime ministerial candidate L K Advani on Friday said that the Third Front is just a ''fallacy'' and it has no chance of forming the government at the Centre.

Talking to reporters here, Advani said, "I consider the Third Front as a fallacy. If the Third Front is a fallacy, then the Fourth Front will just be a fantasy."

An alliance of Leftist and regional parties known as the "Third Front" was formally launched to challenge the Congress and the BJP.

New Delhi - As India gears up for general elections, politicians in India's southern Tamil Nadu state are hyping their rhetoric regarding Sri Lanka's ethnic Tamils, news reports said Friday. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Karunanidhi, who has never supported the rebel Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) in the past, appealed to the Sri Lankan government to treat LTTE leader Prabhakaran with dignity even if he was defeated, the NDTV television channel reported.

Karunanidhi's comments during a political rally came a day after rival politician Vaiko warned of a bloodbath in Tamil Nadu if Prabhakaran was harmed.

The Congress Party, which has an alliance with Karunanidhi's DMK, was the only party treading a different path.

The company has worked into an arrangement with Korean chaebol Samsung, to cater for the supply of the set-top-boxes required for the newly-launched services.

International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, plans to invest €135 million in Volkswagen India's plant in Pune.

Under the proposed deal, IFC will provide a loan of up to €60 million from its own account and a syndicated loan of up to €75 million.

It should be noted that Volkswagen India's has recently inaugurated its plant at Chakan. The facility which is being set up at a cost of €580 million has a capacity of 1.10 lakh units a year.
