West Midnapore (West Bengal), June 23 : Flood-affected victims in West Bengal have alleged that relief materials have not reached them yet even as they continue to struggle to survive.

About two million people have been affected by the floods caused by heavy rainfall over the past three to four days.

Srinagar, June 22 : Jammu and Kashmir Police assisted by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) killed one militant in an encounter at Chatterhama near Dargah Hazratbal this morning who was hiding in a house.

Kashmir region Inspector General of Police S. M. Sahai said, “ The encounter operation has been on since 7 a. m. and we have killed one militant. Two or more militants are expected to be inside the house at Chatterhama.”

He also informed that two CRPF soldiers were injured during the encounter operation.
