Kolkata, Feb 6 : Atomic Energy Commission Chairman Anil Kakodkar has asserted that India need not worry about Pakistan constructing nuclear reactors with foreign help as her nuclear reactors are far more advanced than those of Pakistan.
He revealed this during speaking an interactive session on ''Perspective on Evolving Nuclear Power Programme'' here on Thursday.
In the course of his talk, he touched upon a wide range of topics, including one whether Pakistan''s building reactors should be a cause of worry for India.
Kolkata, Jan. 27 : Agitated over the death of seven people due to consumption of spurious liquor, local residents in South 24 Paragna district of West Bengal demolished several illegal liquor shops on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, a large police contingent reached the spot to pacify the mob.
At least seven persons died and nearly 16 fell sick after consuming hooch (local liquer) in South 24 Paragna District near Kolkata. Most of the victims were daily wage earners and labourers.
Kolkata, Jan 27 : The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Kolkata has seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition.
Talking to reporters here on Monday, S. N. Gupta, Deputy Inspector General (Operations) of CID said, "We have recovered around 6000 rounds of ammunition plus twelve arms of various categories, a bullet proof jacket and other equipments."
Acting on the inputs provided by a suspected illegal arms dealer Ashok Mandal, CID raided a house in city''s Baiguhati area on Sunday night and recovered a huge cache of illegal arms and ammunition.

The walk was aimed at creating awareness regarding the need to conserve oil.
