The pop princess, who recently released her sixth studio album to coincide with her 27th birthday, is expected to perform tracks from her latest album ‘Circus’, her fastest-selling album in the UK so far.

“It will be amazing. Britney can’t wait to move to London. She thinks she’ll have more freedom,” News of the World quoted a source as saying.

Heath Ledger honoured with Best Actor award for ‘Joker’ role

London, December 7 : Heath Ledger has been honoured posthumously with the ‘best actor’ award for his phenomenal performance as the villainous Joker in ‘The Dark Knight’ in his native Australia.

The 28-year-old, who had died from an accidental overdose of prescription drugs in January 2008, had been given a standing ovation after being granted the Australian Film Institute''s international award.

The AFI paid tribute to the late ‘Brokeback Mountain’ actor in Melbourne dubbing him as “the untamed spirit” as his sister Kate, accompanied by her parents, accepted the award on his behalf.

"It has been without a doubt the most difficult year, losing such a loved family member," BBC quoted her as saying.

Nostalgic memories flood back for Sampras in London

London  - Pete Sampras didn't mange to reach the weekend final of the BlackRock Masters. But the American's first return to London in six years still provoked a wave of pleasant nostalgia for the seven-time Wimbledon winner.

Sampras fell 7-6 (10-7), 7-6 (10-5) at the penultimate hurdle at the elite senior event at the Royal Albert Hall, going down to Cedric Pioline.

But even in defeat, the 37-year-old from Los Angeles was wondering why he stayed away so long from the city where he carved his tennis reputation.

"This place brings back memories," he said of the capital, rainy for much of the winter week. "Just being here and seeing the British people... it was good to be back."

Along with the estates of the two dead members of the band, the two surviving members of the Fab Four received 35.1million pounds in dividends from Apple Corps, the company that represents the pop legends’ commercial interests.

The four parties – Sir Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and the estates of John Len-non and George Harrison – are the main shareholders in the company that has managed the Beatles’ interests since the 1960s, reports Times Online.
