London, Sept 29: In a bid to recruit the next generation of spies, UK’s Secret Intelligence Service MI6 has launched a series of online adverts on the social networking website Facebook.

The advertisements are aimed at attracting potential spies from all kinds of backgrounds.

While, the intelligence agency had traditionally been recruiting members from the country's elite universities, this time it has targeted the popular social networking site.

"A number of public channels are used to promote job opportunities in the organisation and Facebook is a recent example of this," the Guardian quoted a Foreign Office spokeswoman as saying.

According to a report in the Times, the power of the Grid is such that downloading films should take only seconds, not hours, and processing music albums just a single second.

London, September 29: Experiments on mice conducted by Emory University researchers have revealed that a protein required for the earliest steps in embryonic development, beta-catenin, also plays a key role in solidifying fear memories in the brain.

Study leader Dr. Kerry Ressler, associate professor of psychiatry and behavioural sciences at Emory University School of Medicine, says that beta-catenin can be a potential target for drugs to enhance or interfere with memory formation.

London, Sept 28 : The British Queen will spend seven million pound on her own private jet, which would be the first in her 50-years reign.

Currently, Queen Elizabeth shares the use of VIP flights with Government ministers and military chiefs.

The Sun reported that the Queen has asked four luxury aircraft makers to come up with plans for the seven million pound royal plane, dubbed Monarch Air, and will personally choose the winning design by Christmas. 

London, Sept 28 : Homeowners will be slapped with a fine of 5,000 pounds if they leave their bins out for too long, according to a new British law.

New council-employed bin wardens will patrol the streets, and dish out 100 pounds fixed penalty notices, and if the recipient does not clear it in two weeks, they could be dragged to court, branded with a criminal record and fined up to 5,000 pounds.
