Lahore, Apr. 10 : The Swat-Taliban has agreed to leave Buner District without any condition after a peace jirga persuaded them to do so.
The Daily Times quoted Malakand Commissioner Syed Muhammad Javed as saying that the Taliban had agreed to leave Buner and would completely vacate the area by Friday.
The Taliban had made no demands for vacating the area, he added.
Earlier, the local jirga held talks with the Taliban under the supervision of the commissioner Javed.
Islamabad - Authorities enhanced security Friday in Pakistan's capital, Islamabad, after sounding a security alert in the wake of renewed terrorist threats, officials said. The United States embassy temporarily suspended its visa and consular services "due to heightened security" with instructions for US diplomats to avoid unnecessary movement and venturing out in public.
American citizens could contact the embassy in case of emergencies, but routine services would resume Monday, an embassy statement said.
Lahore, Apr. 10: With uncertainty looming over the participation of Pakistan players in the second season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has sought information from the IPL management regarding their status.
According to Dawn, even though the players have an independent contract with the IPL, the PCB wants the league management to clarify its stand on the issue.

Peshawar, Apr. 10: At least six oil tankers, used for supplying fuel to NATO troops in Afghanistan, were reportedly destroyed on Friday by suspected Taliban fighters in Chamkani region here.
According to The News, unidentified militants blasted an oil tanker loaded with highly inflammable fuels.
The blast triggered a massive blaze which engulfed six out the thirty-five tankers parked there.
The fire was brought under control by the Pakistan Air Force fire tenders after local fire fighters failed to contain the flames.
