Sydney - Australian police said Thursday they expect to make more arrests after 22 men were charged over their part in a global child sex abuse network.

More than 500,000 images and 15,000 videos have been seized as part of a year-long investigation sparked by a tip-off from Brazilian authorities.

Among those arrested was a 74-year-old solicitor, a police officer and child care workers.

"Over 200 suspects have been identified across a number of countries, over 70 countries, and I think on any scale that's a good result," Deputy Police Commissioner Andrew Colvin said.

Sydney  - Organizers of a golf tournament in Australia said Thursday that perennial bad-boy John Daly would not face disciplinary action after grabbing the camera of an over-zealous fan and smashing it against a tree.

They said the big-hitting American was within his rights because cameras and mobile phones were banned from the course at the Australian Open in Sydney.

Daly has a long history of alcohol abuse, with three recorded spells in the Betty Ford Clinic in the United States.

Daly released a statement via tournament organizers saying the fan got too close.

"The guy that had the camera had already taken a dozen shots at close range," he said.

Sydney, Dec. 11 : Hundreds of mourners bid farewell to Sydney resident Douglas Markell, who was shot and killed in last month's terrorist attacks in Mumbai.

The 71-year-old former Woollahra councillor was gunned down in front of his wife Allison, who was also injured in the corridor of the Taj Mahal Hotel, as they tried to flee the attackers.

Markell''s son David told mourners at the St Stephen''s Uniting Church in Macquarie Street in central Sydney that his father was a kind, patient and generous man.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, David said his father respected opposing views and did not believe in violence.

Steyn has emerged as the world''s top-rated fast bowler in 2008 after a prolific year in which he became the fastest South African to 100 Test scalps and is the globe''s leading wicket-taker this year with 60 wickets.
