Relaxed and on holiday Sachin confident of Team India bouncing back

Sachin-TendulkarMussourie, Jan 2 : Batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar, who spoke for the first time after his retirement from the ODI format of the game, on Wednesday expressed confidence that Team India would bounce back after losing to Pakistan in the first one-day international played in Chennai recently.

"I have no doubt that the team is going to bounce back. At this stage, all I can say is the team requires our good wishes and support and positive feedback from everywhere so that they can play good cricket," Tendulkar told mediapersons here.

" And even though I am not a part of the team, my heart is always with the team. And I support them all the way and I have no doubt that they will bounce back," he added.

Tendulkar, who had announced his retirement from ODI cricket on December 23, thanked his fans for supporting him through his ups and downs.

"For the last 23 years, I have been a part of the ODI team. It has been a fantastic journey and I would like to thank all the people who have supported me through ups and downs. It really means a lot to me. So, a big big thank you. The journey has been a memorable one," he said.

Tendulkar''s consistent performances earned him a fan following across the globe, including amongst Australian crowds, where the master blaster has consistently scored centuries.

Sachin, who was here to enjoy a vacation with his family, also wished everyone good health and happiness in the New Year.

"2013 has just begun, I would like to wish everyone all the happiness and good health," he said. (ANI)
