New York/Los Angeles - US actress Farrah Fawcett, 62, has been admitted to hospital in Los Angeles, People magazine reported Sunday.

The former Charlie's Angels star was diagnosed with cancer in September 2006. A few months later, she announced she was free of the disease, but had to seek treatment again when the cancer returned.

Last year, she underwent alternative therapy in Germany and afterwards spoke publicly about her experience battling illness. dpa
