Samsung Eternity, a TouchWiz phone comes out via AT&T

Samsung EternityWith the aim to strengthen the bond among them, AT&T and Samsung have taken a step ahead together and brought out a new phone, Samsung Eternity aka the Samsung SGH-a867. The new Samsung Eternity is supported by TouchWiz technology and lots of other unique features that will definitely attract a lot of attention.

With 3.2 inch touch screen and haptic support, Eternity also features a black and chrome exterior.

A TouchWiz user interface installed in the set would let the users to quickly and easily drag and drop contents that will provide easy and instant access to main functions like messages, music, contacts etc from the home screen. The Samsung SGH-a867 has three dedicated keys for easy navigation. Moreover, a built-in accelerometer for motion sensing games and photo scrolling is also equipped in it.

Bill Ogle, Chief Marketing Officer, Samsung America, reported, "The Eternity brings the big screen to the palm of your hand. This touch-screen mobile TV handset is part of Samsung's TouchWiz line of phones and keeps you entertained and connected on the go."

Samsung SGH-a867 has many exciting features that include a 3 MP camera with 3x zooming capabilities that will surely make the images captured clear and nice. Video recording and video share calling are its other features.

The users, via the phone can access Mobile Email and instant messaging like Yahoo, Windows Live and AOL and enhanced messaging capabilities. The impressive ability of its browser to surf the internet and navigate pages with easy zoom-in and zoom-out capabilities adds more functionality to the set.

Lot of entertainment is offered by AT&T by integrating the AT&T Mobile TV feature, which streams clips from programs such as CBS Mobile, CNBC, Comedy Central, ESPN Mobile TV, FOX News, MTV, CNN Mobile and PIX.

The AT&T Navigator service that offers a GPS enabled directions, maps and traffic updates, is also included.

"The Samsung Phone comes packed in with an internal memory of 200MB which can be extended using the external microSD card. The battery life offers users with 5 hours of talk time and stand by time up to 10.5 days," said Ogle.

The stylish, sleek phone that is expected to carry a price tag ranging within $99 to $150 with a two year service agreement is available now with from AT&T.
