Taiwan stocks dip 2.4 per cent, ending six-day rise Taipei  - Taiwan stocks ended 2.4 per cent lower Wednesday in line with regional markets, ending a six-session winning streak, dealers said.

Dealers said the government's plan to lower credit card interest rate ceilings to no more than 12.5 per cent, from around 20 per cent, seriously battered financial shares as it would cut profits of local banks that are major credit card issuers. (dpa)
