Tata Nano to make its Thailand debut in 2012

Tata-NanoAfter Tata Motors announced the launch of Nano last year, the world's cheapest car is making a lot of noise in the Indian marketplace. The company hasn't even reached the mass-volumes stage so far but the product has been an instant hit in the Indian market.

However, the safety issues have been chasing the product since its inception and are expected to so when it starts running on the international roads. Nano is expected to make its debut in the Thailand market by 2012, though the company officials have declined to confirm the same but the sources that this small wonder will be running in the Asia's Detroit by the year 2012.

Tata Motors has earlier clarified its bullish intention to take Nano to several international market including Europe and the Thailand market cannot be ignored keeping in the mind the high potential of growth that the products has.

Notably, the home-grown automaker has also submitted application showing its interest in the Thailand eco-car project and out of the seven applications, its application has already been approved. It is expected that the automaker will export to other ASEAN countries as well through the ASEAN free trade area agreement (AFTA).
