Google adds video, voice to chat programSan Francisco  - Google unveiled video and voice capabilities to its popular Gmail chat program Tuesday, making it a more worthy competitor to rival applications from Microsoft and Yahoo, which have boasted such features for years.

The new service requires users to download and install a plug-in and have their computer connected to a webcam. Google has teamed with camera maker Logitech to offer users healthy discounts on webcams, the companies said in a statement.

Egypt discovers new pyramid in SaqqaraCairo - A previously unknown pyramid estimated to be 4,300 years old was discovered in Egypt's desert, Egypt's Secretary General of Antiques Zahi Hawass said on Tuesday.

The pyramid, five metres high with a square base of 22 metres on each side, is believed to belong to Queen Seshseshet, mother of King Teti, the first king of ancient Egypt's Sixth Dynasty, Hawass said.

Teti came to power in 2323 BC.

The pyramid is the 118th discovered in Egypt and originally was 14 metres tall, Hawass said at a press conference.

Researchers from University of California, San Diego and Berkeley hijacked a working spam network and uncovered some of the economics of being a junk mailer.

The scientists broke into the Storm network that uses hijacked home computers as relays for junk mail.

''Flying lemurs'' are more diverse than previously believed

Washington, Nov 11 : A new research has determined that ''flying lemurs'', the closest living relatives of primates, are more diverse than had previously been believed.

Primates are most familiarly represented by monkeys and apes, the group including humans.

Scientists had recognized just two species of these enigmatic mammals, the Sunda colugo and the Philippine colugo.

However, the new findings show that the Sunda colugo, found only in Indochina and Sundaland, including the large islands of Borneo, Sumatra, and Java, actually represents at least three separate species.
