New Delhi, Dec 13: The Union Cabinet today gave its approval for the extension of the National Commission for Safai Karamcharis with effect from January 1, 2008 to March 31, 2009 with a Chairman, one lady member and three other members.

The Cabinet also approved the continuation of the existing 32 posts in the Secretariat of the Commission during the same period.

This will facilitate the socio-economic development of Safai Karamcharis, a Cabinet release said. (ANI)
