Three killed in serial blasts in India's Bangalore city

New Delhi - At least three people were killed in up to six serial blasts in India's southern city of Bangalore on Friday, media reports said.

The blasts took place near crowded areas and bus stations in three to six areas in the city, the NDTV network reported.

Dozens of people were believed to be injured in the explosions, that caused panic in the city.

The NDTV report citing police sources mentioned that it was a well-coordinated terrorist attack in the city, considered India's IT capital.

The nature of the blasts was not known and the police had rushed bomb squads and additional security to the areas. (dpa)
