Munich  - Three people in a car were killed when their vehicle was hit by a train at an unmanned level crossing in the south of Germany on Monday, police said.

Police said the driver apparently failed to notice the train as it approached the crossing at Pfofeld near the Bavarian city of Nuremberg. (dpa)
