Townsville Coming in Grasp of DengueSeveral cases of dengue are now being reported from across Townsville and North Queensland seems to be coming in grasp of dengue.

Despite of warnings being issued by Government, the city has not taken any preventive measures, which has caused 12 cases of dengue. Nine people have type one and other three have type three dengue fever.

"There was a few residences over in Garbutt that I was aware of that we'd gone back and found water in around the house on the second inspection, so obviously those residents didn't heed our requests or our warnings and that's concerning", chairman of the community safety and health committee said.

Inspections in the suburbs of Garbutt, Wulguru and Heatley will be continued as some cases were confirmed there.

Last year November saw more than 1000 people across north Queensland infected with the virus.
