Toyota Kirloskar aims at 25% growth for 2010

toyota-logoWhile its parent company, Toyota Motor Corporation is still busy fighting for its reputation for the recent recalls the company announced in the US, the Indian arm is still sure of a 25% growth in 2010. Notably, Toyota has been seeing falling nos. globally and especially in the US but the Indian subsidiary of the global market leader is all set to take the Indian market by storm.

The company is aiming to sell around 70,000 units in the year 2010 with 47,000-48,000 units coming from the sales of Innova, 10,000 from Fortuner and 12,000 from Corolla Altis.

Moreover, the company has also firmed up its plans to launch the diesel version of the Corolla Altis though, the time frame is still not clear. However, it is the launch of Etios, the small car from Toyota's stable that is expected to do wonders for the company in the Indian marketplace.

Expected to be launched in December this year, the company has prepared both a sedan and hatchback version of the Etios for the Indian market. Notably, the Etios will play a major role in taking Toyota to a 10% market share in the Indian market by 2015. The company sold around 55,497 units in 2009.
