U2 to stream concert live on YouTube
Los Angeles - Irish supergroup U2 is to stream its entire concert from Pasadena, California, live on YouTube on Sunday, according to an announcement Tuesday.
The concert is slated to start at 8:30 pm (0330 Monday GMT) and will be available for viewing in the US, Britain, France, Canada, Italy, Spain, Japan, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Mexico, India, Israel, South Korea and the Netherlands.
The sold-out show is the band's penultimate concert of the year, and it will be in front of 96,000 people, the biggest audience ever to pack the famous Rose Bowl.
"The band has wanted to do something like this for a long time," manager Paul McGuinness said. "As we're filming the LA show, it's the perfect opportunity to extend the party beyond the stadium. Fans often travel long distances to come to see U2 - this time U2 can go to them, globally." (dpa)
