US will not force India & Pakistan to sign NPT
The Indo-Pak friendship has created pressure on US to not force the countries to sign in the Nuclear non proliferation treaty. Both India and Pakistan maintain a special relation with United States. As per sources, USA is hesitating to force both the countries to sign NPT agreement.
US Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Mr. Ellen Tauscher has informed the media that Obama administration is directly talking with both the Asian countries for a long time on such issues.
He has also said that his country values the friendship with both the nations and US usually discuss various issues with these two countries. Hence it can't influence them to sign in the NTP agreement. However, he has urged all other countries to sign onto this agreement.
Apart from that, he has also cited the issues related to the nuclear activities. Most of the countries are eyeing to get the nuclear know-how at any cost. Hence, the world has become a more dangerous place to live. He expressed that the current situation is even more hazardous than the cold war era.
