Vijender Singh still at the top of AIBA world ranking

Vijender Singh still at the top of AIBA world rankingIndian pugilist, Vijender Singh has managed to retain his top position in the AIBA world rankings. He has secured 2137.5 points. After the 3 Star China Cup, the AIBA world ranking was updated by the International Boxing Association.

The prime form of Vijender continues and he remained at the top spot. He has won bronze medal in last year Olympics. In World Championship of Boxing in 75 kg he has also won a bronze. Now he is way ahead of his contemporary rivals in terms of points.

Even if he did not participate in the China Cup, the ranking would have remained unchanged. There is a mammoth point's gap between him and other boxers. Olympic silver medalist Emilio Bayeux Correa of Cuba is in the second spot with 1875 points.

In other Indian boxers, Commonwealth Game champion Amandeep Singh has 225 points and he has slipped by 10 spots. Olympian Jitender Kumar has come down by three ranks to 21st spot in the list of 54 kg weight category.
