Williams tops women's tennis rankings

Serena WilliamsHamburg - American Serena Williams remains top of a virtually unchanged women's tennis rankings issued Monday by the WTA ruling body.

Williams, who beat Dinara Safina in the final of the Australian Open on January 31 to take top spot, heads the rankings with 9,432 points followed by the Russian on 9,150 points.

Serbian Jelena Jankovic, who topped the rankings ahead of the Australian Open, remains third, with Russia's Elena Dementieva fourth.

The only change in the Top Ten sees Nadia Petrova of Russia leapfrog Poland's Agnieszka Radwanska into ninth place.
