Women and children among the dead in Falluja double bombing

Iraq MapBaghdad - Bombs struck two police stations in Iraq's Falluja Thursday killing a number of people including women and children, the Dubai based al-Arabiya TV channel reported.

The first bomb rocked a police station in the major city in predominantly Sunni al Anbar province, around 70 kilometres west of Baghdad.

The second struck another police station in Falluja's al-Golan centre. The number of casualties was not known, the channel said.

Al Anbar is the largest of Iraq's 18 provinces. The volatile province took over its own security from the US forces in September. (dpa)
