Manchester United manager Ferguson charged over referee row
London - Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been charged with improper conduct by the Football Association (FA) regarding his conduct towards a referee in a recent Premier League match.
Ferguson marched on to the field at Old Trafford at the end of the recent 4-3 win over Hull City to confront Mike Dean about some of his decisions.
A statement on the FA's website on Thursday said: "Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been charged with improper conduct in relation to his behaviour towards referee Mike Dean following the match against Hull City on 1 November."
Ferguson, who was thought to be upset that Dean did not send off a Hull defender, Michael Turner, has until November 19 to respond. (dpa)
