‘Nagar Kirtan’ to be carried out on a specially-designed bus in Pak this yearLahore, Nov 11: This year, Nigar Kirtan, the religious procession carried out by the Sikhs on the occasion of Guru Nanak’s birthday, will be taken out on a specially designed air-conditioned bus.

Lucky Dhillow, a British Sikh, is learnt to have donated this bus for the purpose.

Till last year, while carrying out the Nigar Kirtan, the Sri Guru Granth was placed on the handcart and taken to the various gurdwaras in Nankana Sahib, reported the Daily Times.

Besides, Kabaddi is also going to be a part of this ritual. According to Sikh pundits, two teams would be comprised for this. One team would be constituted from the pehlwans (wrestlers) of Indian Punjab and the other would be comprise of Pakistani Sikhs and some Sikhs from other countries.

After the competition, prizes would be distributed to the victors.

Several three-day eye camps will also be established at Nankana Sahib, where Sikh doctors from across the world would provide their services for free. (ANI)
