But Rahul is not likely to assume duties at once because he is going to New York with his mother. Sonia Gandhi will lecture the UN General Assembly on October 2, to honor the International Day of Non-Violence.
Chennai, Sept 21: The Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) on Friday said that the Central Government should continue with the Sethusamudram Ship Canal Project without any further delay.
"We don't consider the issue of the Adam's Bridge as an obstacle. There is no scientific evidence to show that this is a man-made formation," CPI-M General Secretary Prakash Karat said.

The results follow the detailed examination for more than three months by the agency’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter of the valley system called Athabasca Valles, which has long been interpreted as having been carved out by sudden, catastrophic flooding.
