Rahman On Song, To Be Awarded With Another Honorary Degree! The Mozart of Madras aka the musical legend A R Rahman is all set to add another feather to his cap.

Come July, the Oscar winning Indian music maestro would be awarded with an honorary doctorate by the London based Middlesex University, the latest in the many honors conferred on him in his long career.

Earlier AMU (Aligarh) and the Anna University (Chennai) too had awarded an honorary D Lit to the 43 year old music maestro.

Rahman is expected to be conferred on the day of the Graduation Ceremony to be held at Middlesex University in London in July later this year. London based Middlesex University is known for producing students who make economic, cultural, and social contributions in a growing global community. The University is located in the North of London and has received the highest possible ratings, across all of its programs, from the UK Quality Assurance Agency.

It is learnt that Joe Victor (Regional Director of Middlesex University) met Rahman in Chennai, regarding this issue.

A R Rahman has recently created history by wining two Oscars for his score in 'Slumdog Millonaire'. Apart from Oscars, he has also won thirteen Filmfare Awards, four National Film Awards, a BAFTA Award and a Golden Globe Award.
