Lucknow, Apr 22: Senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh has been booked for threatening Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati by misusing CBI against her.
The case has been booked for violating the model code of conduct against Singh late on Tuesday night on the directions of the district administration, said Hardoi sources.
Earlier, Singh refuted reports that he had threatened to target Mayawati with the help of CBI.
Patna, Apr 22: Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar were engaged in a war of words on Wednesday hours after Maoists struck in four places in Bihar and Jharkhand.
"The entire Nitish Kumar Government is a failure in Bihar. The Naxals are attacking all over Bihar. There is anarchy everywhere in the state. The Naxals have burnt the entire Bihar while the Nitish Kumar led government is sleeping," said Lalu.
Pratapgarh, Apr. 22: Saying that the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati was just like a sister to him, Samajwadi Party General Secretary Sanjay Dutt has apologized Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister for his "Jadu ki Jhappi" remarks.
In his reply to the district magistrate and district election officer on Tuesday, Dutt apologized for the remarks and said it was a mere dialogue from his Bollywood blockbuster Munnabhai series which were used in the rally to spread a message of love in society.
