Chidambaram lashes out Modi on "local link" remark

P. ChidambaramNew Delhi, Feb 11 : Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram, on Wednesday lashed out at Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi over his controversial remark about a ''local link'' in the Mumbai attacks.

"Since Pakistan and Modi are saying the same thing on Mumbai attacks, someone please ask Modi if he and Pakistan are in contact with each other," Chidambaram said.

Cop probing Rizwan case dies mysteriously

Rizwanur-RehmanNew Delhi, Feb. 11 : Assistant Superintendent of Police Arindam Manna, who was investigating the death of Rizwanur Rehman, was found dead under mysterious circumstances on Wednesday.

His body was found on the railway tracks in Hooghly, Kolkata. Sources claimed that the police officer had gone on leave on February
9.

Police are yet to ascertain the cause of Manna's death.

Manna was the first investigating officer in the Rizwanur Rehman murder case, and he was also the first to discover Riwanur's body.

Chatterjee expresses regret over UP Andhra assemblies ruckus

"Wherever it is, I do not want to mention any assembly, wherever it happens, it is extremely painful, extremely worrisome. It does not help strengthening of democracy. On the other hand, it weakens our democratic structure," Chatterjee told reporters.
