Munich  - Turkey midfielder Hamit Altintop resumed training with Bayern Munich Friday after a three-month injury lay-off and could make a comeback before the Bundesliga's winter break.

"There is time enough for him to return before the winter break," coach Juergen Klinsmann said.

The German season takes a break from the middle of next month until the end of January.

Altintop, 25, has been sidelined since the end of August after he suffered a negative reaction to a plate inserted in his right foot following a fracture in March.

He was not included in the Bayern squad for Saturday's home encounter with Energie Cottbus. (dpa)
