Bharti Infratel gets new CEO

Bharti-InfratelIn a major change at the human resources level, Bharti Infratel has got a new CEO, Devender Singh Rawat is going to replace Prem Pradeep. Devender will now be reporting to managing director of Bharti Infratel, Akhil Gupta.

Bharti Infratel is the telecom tower infrastructure wing of Bharti Enterprises'.

Rawat has jumped up from his earlier post as the Executive Director of Huawei Technologies and Bharti with his experience which spans over 14 years.

He was earlier employed with Escotel and Ericsson and has long been associated with the telecommunication industry.

As part of his new role, Rawat will be responsible for synchronizing and driving a long-term strategy related to Bharti Infratel. The aim of the same would be achieve not only service and operational excellence but also to be augmenting the business.

The company in its press statement said, "He will also be responsible for key transformation projects like energy saving and deployment of renewable energy saving solutions, Classic IT (CIT) business process automation and state of the art Network Operating Centre (NOC)."

Rawat is a qualified engineer and comes with a degree in Electronics and Communications from Osmania University in Hyderabad.
