Crime Branch issues notice to father, Nun to speak out today

The Crime Branch of Orissa Govt. has issued a notice to the Arch-Bishop Raffel Chinnath in connection with the controversial Nun rape case in Kandhamal. The notice was served, according to the provision 160 of Indian Penal Code. As father Chinnath has moved to the Supreme Court seeking CBI probe into the matter, The CB thinks that he might know the whereabouts of the Nun. State police has failed to trace the nun for last two months.

Rejecting the plea of father, The Apex court of the country had advised the Nun to cooperate in CB probe. 

Meanwhile the State Govt. expressed its willingness to conduct test identification (TI) parade at any place on the choice of the Nun.

Talking to media persons State Home Secretary Tarunkanti Mishra said, "We want her cooperation. The state police have no objection to conduct the TI parade at a place outside or inside Orissa."

On the Other hand the Nun has decided to speak out her story today at New Delhi.

The 29-year-old catholic Nun was allegedly raped on 25th of August during Orissa Bandh at K.Nuagaon in Kandhamal district.
