Dipika storms into semifinals of WJSC

Dipika PallikalThe top seeded Indian Dipika Pallikal has stormed into the semifinals of the World Junior (Men and Women) Squash Championship on Friday. Dipika crushed the fifth seeded Nouran El Torky of Egypt in the quarterfinal match of the women's single event.

The quarterfinal match turned out to be another easy outing for Dipika as she raced away with the match against the Egyptian 11-5, 4-11, 11-8, 11-6 in just 37 minutes. Dipika did not face any challenge in previous matches of the tournament but in the quarterfinal match she came back after losing second game. She is now just two wins away from the title win.

Dipika will now lock horns with the fourth seeded another Egyptian Nour El Tayeb in the semifinal match on Saturday. Tayeb ousted her compatriot Salma Hany 11-7, 11-6,
11-1 in the quarterfinal match in just 21 minutes. Tayeb has recently become the youngest player to make into the final of a WISPA event.
