The First Medical Technology Park in South Asia Set Up in ChennaiTrivitron has set up a medical technology park, which is reportedly the very first in South Asia, basically to manufacture an aboriginal line of products that is designed specifically for the Indian public. The medical technology park, which is located at Sriperumbudur quite near Chennai, was inaugurated on Monday by M. K. Stalin who is the Deputy Chief Minister of the state of Tamil Nadu.

It has been reported that this park in Chennai falls in line with what the government of Tamil Nadu had planned in its attempt to promote the city as a huge manufacturing hub. Another reason why Chennai was chosen as the location was because it also has a reputation of being a tourism hotspot on the medical front.

This park has been built as an initiative of the Trivitron healthcare Private Ltd, which spreads over 25 acres of land. A lot of medical products, that includes critical care instruments, X - ray machines, Color Dopplers and many other instruments, at affordable costs, have been made available for medical professionals throughout the country with the main aim of the park being to lessen the healthcare costs as much as possible.
