Orissa Government has suspended five policemen, including an ASI in the controversial Nun rape case in Kandhamal for dereliction of duty.
Earlier the catholic Nun, in her statement, had accused these policemen of behaving "friendly" with the attackers. She said that these policemen had refused to help her despite her request.
Orissa Chief Minister Naveen Pattanaik, embarrassed over the incident, directed top police officers to identify the guilty officers, who were deployed at K.Nuagaon, when the incident occurred.
The Nun was allegedly raped on September 25, during Orissa bandh at K.Nuagaon in riot-hit Kandhamal district.
