GasGas introduces three new electric MTBs under MXC series

GasGas, a Spanish off-road motorcycle specialist known for its high-performance motocross and endurance machines, is now extending its prowess beyond the roar of combustion engines to make waves in the world of electric bicycles. The Spanish brand has introduced three new electric MTBs (mountain bikes) under the MXC range – an electrifying addition to the brand’s repertoire that seamlessly blends inspiration from its motocross heritage with a touch of versatility. Designed to tackle both technical trails and leisurely gravel backcountry paths, the MXC e-MTBs promise an exhilarating ride regardless of the type of the terrain.

The MXC range or series is available in three variants, viz. the MXC 4, MXC 5, and MXC 6. All of the three variants share the same carbon frame and Sram Eagle Powertrain. The MXC 5 and 6 take the rider’s riding experience a step higher with DVO-WP suspension, along with a luxurious twelve-speed Sram drivetrain. Meanwhile, the MXC 4 comes equipped with impressive suspension technology from RockShox and a Sram X0 drivetrain, which promises a compelling ride for enthusiasts.

Underpinning this two-wheeled electric bikes is the aforementioned leading-edge system from Sram, which is also known as the Eagle Powertrain. It is worth-mentioning here that it marks Sram's inaugural venture into the electric bike domain. Sram has developed this technology, which boasts an impressive balance between performance and low weight, in collaboration with renowned German brand Brose. Paired with a robust 630-watt-hour (Wh) battery pack, the MXC e-bikes ensure ample riding range between two charges, promising uninterrupted adventures for riders.

The technological prowess extends beyond the powertrain, with the manufacturer boasting a lightweight yet robust carbon fiber frame. When it comes to wheels, the new e-bikes sport a mullet setup, featuring a 29-inch wheel up front and a 27.5-inch wheel at the rear. The manufacturer achieves an ideal blend of agility as well as capability to tackle all types of terrain. The environment-friendly personal mobility solutions’ slack geometry promises a playful and agile ride, emphasizing a dynamic experience over long-distance coverage.

Further elevating the MXC's performance are top-notch suspension components from DVO, powered by renowned brand WP. Notably, the premium suspension setup is reserved for the higher-end models, adding an additional layer of sophistication to the brand’s ride dynamics.

Pricing details for the MXC 4, 5, and 6 e-MTBs are still under wraps, adding an extra layer of excitement and anticipation among GasGas enthusiasts. However, the attractive features of these vehicles have sparked a wave of eager anticipation, leaving fans eagerly awaiting the details.
