Ayan starring Surya and Tammana has been directed by cinematographer turned director K.V. Anand. Anand has impressed everyone with Kana Kandein. His most recent project as cinematographer was for the blockbuster hit movie, Sivaji: The Boss. Apart from Suriya and Tammana, Mumbai based actor Akashdeep Saigal would also appear in the movie in the lead role. The movie has been produced under the banner of AVM.

Pak investigating team may demand access to KasabIslamabad, Jan 19: The Pakistani team probing the Mumbai terror attacks is likely to demand access to lone surviving terrorist Ajmal Amir Kasab to question him on his suspected links with Pakistan-based banned militant outfits, a senior official privy to the investigations, has said.

The official said the three-member team has looked into the material provided by the Indian authorities, Kasab's confessional statement, his letter to the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi, TV footage and his photographs sent by India and available with some news channels, The News reported.

Israel begins troops withdrawal from Gaza Strip

Jerusalem, Jan. 19: Israel has begun withdrawing troops from the Gaza Strip after a unilateral ceasefire came into effect, ending over three weeks of hostilities with the militant group Hamas.

The withdrawal of troops comes as Egypt is playing host to an international summit of European and Arab leaders aimed at shoring up the truce. In Cairo, officials are scheduled to hold talks with the Hamas leadership in a bid to make them accept the cease-fire arrangement.

European leaders called on Israel to withdraw from the Gaza Strip and on militants to stop firing rockets, before heading to Jerusalem to meet Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.
