Hamburg - SV Hamburg and Werder Bremen are to meet in a northern derby in the draw for the semi-finals of the German Cup made Saturday.

The other semi-final match sees Bayer Leverkusen up against second-division Mainz 05.

Leverkusen eliminated title-holders Bayern Munich 4-2 in the quarter-finals while Mainz knocked out first-division Schalke 1-0.

The semi-final matches are to be played on April 21 and 22. The final is in Berlin's Olympic Stadium on May 30. (dpa)
