Indian Court Asked For Ban On Google Earth An Indian court has asked the government to impose ban on 'Google Earth' due to the security reasons.

Google Earth is an online satellite imaging tool which is being used by the terrorist to target important places in the world. It has also been established that militants used maps from this web tool to target various places in Mumbai, killing 170 innocent people, including security personals.

The petition in the court was filed by advocate, Amit Karkhanis who demanded immediate removal of images of sensitive areas in the country for the sake of security. He reminded that the US Department of Defense has already banned Google image service and asked it not to take street view of popular establishments. The British military had also asked it to remove images of military bases in Basra, Iraq.

Terrorist are using the technology, including the internet to accomplish their vested interests and India must take concrete steps to ensure the safety of the nation.
