IT Exports Increase by 1,300 Crore
According to reports, Naveen Patnaik, Orissa’ s Chief minister, accounted that in past two years, the State's IT exports have crossed Rs 1,300 crore, as a result of which, about 10,000 , employment opportunities would be offered by the sector.
At the Kalinga Park Phase II, of Global Software Development Centre of TCS’s stone foundation ceremony, the announcement was made.
The CM further declared that the capital has also made good progress in the IT SEZ (special economic zone), and with the aim of promoting this sector, Info city and Info valley have been created by the sector.
In the meantime, he continued to give information about the state industrial attraction plans, he affirmed that for numerous industry giants, 2011 industry friendly ICT, SEZ and IT hardware polices have been launched by the state officials.
He added, “Undoubtedly the State has always been in the forefront of the IT revolution”.
Meanwhile, about Bhubaneswar growth plans, he asserted that the officials would be talking quick steps to develop the region’s IT sector too.
On the other hand, S Mahalingam, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Executive Director of TCS, added, “The local talent, which is available as per requirement of the company, has impressed the TCS authorities”.
