Kismat Konnection: Movie Review!

After a long time gap of five years, ace Bollywood director Aziz Mirza comes Kismat Konnection: Movie Review!back to the film world to tell the story of an architect fighting for his big break in ‘Kismat Konnection’, which is going to release today (July 18).

Aziz’s daughter Rahila has written the movie’s script, which mainly discusses the role that ‘luck’, plays in one's life.

In the movie ‘Kismat Konnection’, ‘Luck’ plays a vital role in shaping up Shahid's career. The movie also has Kerala beauty Vidya Balan who becomes Shahid's lucky charm.

Aziz’s favourite Juhi also plays a vital role in the movie.

Moreover, Mirza called ‘Juhi’ as the surprise package of the film.

The story of the film goes like this:

Raj Malhotra (Shahid Kapoor) is an energetic young man who cleared his architecture course with flying colours. In spite of a best-student award from his college, he’s struggling hard for his big break.

It’s almost as though some negative luck (kismet) is following him around as whenever something good is ready to take place, it looks damned to fail.

Frantic to fight this cursed kismat, Raj meets a quirky oracle Hasina Bano Jaan (Juhi Chawla).

Juhi, who plays a crystal ball reader in the movie, has an important role in the film, which brings together Shahid Kapoor and Vidya Balan.

Juhi’s character is actually inspired from Whoopi Goldberg's role in ‘Ghost’ and Juhi has been styled accordingly for that task.

Hasina tells Shahid that soon his luck will change and make all thing work in his favor, but for all this to happen, Raj has first to find his lucky mascot and never let go of it.

But she denies giving details, leaving Raj amazed, trying to discover what this mascot could be.

But after meeting Hasina, Raj sees his life going on track. Raj not only manages to convince top builder Sanjeev Gill (Om Puri) to give him a high-status project, he also meets Priya (Vidya), an idealist who sees life in black and white.

Shades of grey have no role for her. She will give her all to her causes, her people and her love and expect nothing less in return.

Raj manages to win Vidya’s heart and also opens her eyes to her flirting fiancé Amit Verma.

Are all these positive things a sign that Raj has unwittingly found his lucky mascot?

This is for the first time that Shahid and Vidya are working together. The movie is being hummed about very much due to the on-screen and off-screen chemistry of its lead pair Shahid and Vidya.

Pritam Chakraborty has composed the music and some of the songs are already chartbusters.

Mirza’s last movie ‘Chalte Chalte’ with SRK and Rani was a big hit. So anticipations from this maker of lighthearted romantic films are high.
