Life came to stand still in MumbaiThe recent terror attack on Mumbai has hit the normal life of city where all educational institutions, schools and corporate offices remained close following large scale bloodshed by militants. The city is a witness of much terror and communal violence in past and it is known as fast-paced commercial capital of country. However, its streets gave a more deserted look with public transport system running almost empty after recent attack on prominent locations of city.

The metropolis experienced a curfew-like situation in south Mumbai which was the center of terror activities till night. The newspaper vendors failed to distribute newspapers following the fears of further attack. All theaters of Mumbai also chose to remain close till the recovery of normal life.

The attack killed at least 100 people including many security and police officers. Nearly 300 injured are still facing the wounds of past in various hospitals of city. Meanwhile, all conferences and meetings organized by the corporate sector and trade bodies were cancelled. However, some air carriers and railway have resumed their operation with very low turn out.
